I adored this conversation, it really REALLY sparked something in me! Circles have been calling me to lead for a couple of yesrs now, and it is getting harder to ignore, but also not felt like the time. This podcast episode I found so helpful and I especially love the idea of normalising these held spaces AND simplifying them.
I love that this landed for you Jo, and in my mind the kind of space you hold is already in some way as a Circle... so I feel like you are probably already doing it. If the call is there I think there is something stirring... but I also know it can feel hugely uncomfortable as well. Here to hold you through that step if you need any support or encouragement. xxx
I also can relate to both of your multitasking, I have also recently bought one of those neck torches... and have also done the one ear headphone trick too. Its amazing how we find solutions to multitask successfully and get things done!
I loved this discussion and was perfect timing for me to listen this morning as I host my own digital 'circle' this evening. A seasonal shift 'ritual' that I have done to connect with people around the world to reset and recentre four times a year. I've just joined substack so posted an invite here as it looks like an aligned group of people, something I haven't done on other platforms. I live on an island so don't get to participate in 'IRL' circles often, but its incredible to connect with kindred spirits all over the globe through digital channels. I also feel so uplifted afterwards, which motivation we all need in a hectic life. Thank you so much Lauren & Gemma! Hope to connect more with both of you here on substack.
Ahhh Vanessa, I hope that your circle was nourishing on all levels. It is so lovely you have found the podcast and that it resonated with you, thank you very much for listening. I agree that in the absence of being able to be in person with others the virtual world does give us a beautiful thread of connection, especially to reach so many others who we wouldn't normally get to sit with in real life. xxx
