Really beautiful Lauren: you’re absolutely spot on about the constant rebirth and the feelings of lost and found. I loved the way you structured this piece too xx
I love your lost and found poem. This season of motherhood and new business is such a time of change - of loss and finding. Thank you for putting this into words.
Thank you so much for reading, I find it a daily losing and finding to be honest. Sometimes the loss feels bigger and the finding feels more profound… but mostly it’s just a series of hellos and goodbyes. Xxx
Ahhh I loved reading this L. Your honesty always speaks straight to me and I feel myself by your side. It is a privilege to hear about your creative process, I love how it all tumbles out of you! And the poem is incredibly special, really so many lines landed in my heart. Here for holding all of the truths and expanding in the process, thank you for sharing xx
Our creative processes sound similar - I know the feeling well of it gushing out of me. Thank you for sharing this, the feeling of being lost AND found in a variety of different ways resonates. I also notice when I feel found in a way, like writing, I feel lost in another, motherhood. It all ebbs and flows.
Love that we have simile processes... and really get that ebb and flow... it feels almost impossible to stay ‘found’ in all areas but I guess we aren’t supposed to!!! Not nearly as much space for growth in the ‘found’ places as there are when lost!!!! Xx
Oh I resonated with this so much (as usual!). I definitely feel the chaotic and messy right now as I am restructuring so much for 2024 and it is a lot!! I love how you pivoted with your program that felt most aligned to you. I know it’s so hard in the moment, while also feeling so right! Love following along w/ you here and seeing how similar our paths are in both our motherhood and creative journey! 🤍
It is so soothing to know that we aren't alone in the chaotic messy stages... thank you!!! I think I will always be restructuring because there is always something to learn - but the essence of it remains always so that helps to anchor me. Excited to see what creations come through for you in 2024!! xx
What popped up for me when reading was also the similarity to “transition” during childbirth, that phase right before baby comes when we’re hit with a surge of adrenaline, outward focus, and sometimes a sense of “I can’t do this anymore” and then we surrender and baby comes.
Yesss!! Oh what a beautiful correlation to make. Of course. That makes so much sense when you put it forward in that way - of course creating anything follows similar threads! Thank you. xxx
What a beautiful way to talk about that confusing and charming transition from chaos to cosmos. And what an ode to the fact that it is a never-ending cycle. It inevitably deepens as we grow and it takes us deeper within, so when we emerge again we are filled with fresh awareness, understanding and, often, even a clearer sense of direction. Also, I truly enjoyed reading about your creative process, what an intimate and fascinating way to get to know you. The wisdom you carry inside of you and that emerges in these challenging moments is truly magnificent. I got shivers.
Oooh I love that sentence... from chaos to cosmos!!!!
I named my podcast Unravelling for this very reason - it really is layer after layer and never ending!! Thank you so much for sharing your reflections and how you felt reading! xx
Ha! Well yes it’s been going a while and has been on pause since last year when Vesper was born... but it’s returning soon and there are about 60 episodes already there!!! Just incase you every need my voice in your ears! 🤣🤣🤣
