Anything that’s happening to you externally - your external circumstances - it’s just life. That’s just what happens. You can’t change that. It’s all about how you reframe things internally.
It literally doesn’t really matter what happens in my life - externally or internally. Whether it’s something that’s happened to me or something I've done, it doesn’t matter as long as I lead with self-compassion I can always forgive myself and then move forward and grow from it.
If we’re comparing and we’re invalidating then we halt progress. We keep ourselves stuck and trapped because we can’t possibly move into a different frame of mind if we’re not allowing ourselves to feel the pain that we’re feeling and to grieve.
